The theft of personal data is concerned about more than half of Spaniards

Security the biggest concern of Spaniards remains to be victims of theft of personal information for fraudulent purposes. Thus a 54% of respondents said it by Unisys in its latest report.

This represents an increase of 8 per cent concern with respect to the results of last year.

According to the latest Safety index, Unisys, 65% of the users who participated in the research said be worried specifically by the theft and fraud with credit and debit cards.

Spain ranks among the countries hosting the most phishing websites, where cybercriminals engaged in phishing activities mainly focus on theft of bank details of Internet users.

Ana Rubio, President of Unisys Spain, has stated that "citizens should be cautious when making any operations with credit cards, either physically or online, but are the public institutions and the private sector who must ultimately ensure the safety of online transactions".

On the other hand, 80% of respondents has shown to feel concern for a possible security flaw in sectors such as banking, public administration, health organizations, telecommunications providers, airlines and hotels.

The truth is that the Trojans, malware and other computer hazards involving the theft of information for users and businesses have increased exponentially in the market.
