Facebook unveils a 'Reader' as a possible new bid mobile project

The social network has been working on an application like Flipboard that allows users to add news from multiple sources.

With the implementation of an increasingly mobile Internet, Facebook is under pressure to increase its services and advertising on mobile devices.

Last April the company of Mark Zuckerberg introduced Facebook Home, a new user interface developed for Android phones, in order to help the company to increase revenue from their advertising space in this ecosystem.

Now The Wall Street Journal has revealed that the social network takes more than one year working on a fix, internally called 'Reader', to display the contents of the users of Facebook and other editors in a new visual format —a kind of homegrown - news service through mobile devices.

As noted by the American newspaper, the new development resembles Flipboard, the popular application of smartphones and tablets that allows users to read news aggregated from multiple sources.

Like Twitter, Facebook users often share news of breaking with their contacts and this new service could attract a large number of followers to the social network.

It is not clear if the so-called 'Reader 'project will be launched or will be as a mere investigation, but yes reinforces what the new identity that wants to adopt Facebook, trying to get to corner the market of mobile users and that they spend more and more time on it.

This effort is critical for Facebook, already that need to activate their stock price that held 35% below since it faced its initial public offer (IPO).

Almost 130,000 mobile lines less in April

Spain continues to fall month-to-month in mobile phone users mainly by the loss of prepaid lines.

During the month of April, and for the first time in history, the alternative operators (MVNO) were the only ones who won mobile lines, 219.297 more, while other companies experienced losses.

The latest data from the telecommunications market Commission (CMT), released today, are running during that month Movistar lost 214.059 lines; Vodafone, 107.210; Orange recorded a decline of 15.467; and Telstra of 12.307.

In total, nearly 130,000 mobile lines became extinct in April.

Again, the cause of the decline was basically the collapse in the number of prepaid lines. The fall was set exactly in 129.746 lines less (76.982 lines and 52.764 datacards).

April was the fifth month straight with figures of portability which exceeded half a million monthly exchanges. Thus, in the period from December to April, nearly 3 million customers changed their company.

Moreover, as a counterpoint, broadband continued to register a positive and upward trend, and added 42.550 lines to the market during the month of April.

According to the new report by the CMT, the uptake of broadband lines was also led by alternative operators, with 33.688 lines, followed by Telefonica which won 11.352 lines. Cable operators lost 2.490 them throughout the month.

For users of iOS with a subscription to Office 365 this means that you can access, view and edit any previously saved file in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.

The application extracts all the files for the users of the cloud, allowing Office documents can be stored and downloaded from SkyDrive, SkyDrive Pro and SharePoint.

The suite also includes a system of synchronization, so the recent documents that have been edited or that have been accessed on a device - for example a desktop computer or a tablet of Microsoft - shown in the iOS application through a panel of documents.

The release significantly increases the value of the service of Office 365 with richer graphics and animation content.

As Microsoft has confirmed in a statement, the new application will reach 135 markets, including Spain, in brief, and will be translated into 29 languages.
