From 2011 the 'retweet' concept was collected in the dictionary as the first technological terminology referring to the social network Twitter.

The Oxford English Dictionary (OED) has just recognize 'tweet' as official word in English.

In the update of its June edition, scholar and most complete English language dictionary as well as the main reference point for the etymological studies of this language, incorporates this new terminor, as both noun and verb use.

The popular concept he has joined with a set of technological terms that has been collected in the latest edition of the dictionary, such as 'big data', 'crowdsourcing', 'mouseover', 'e-reader' and're-direct'.

As reports AllThingsD, an exception has been made in the case of 'tweet' for your RAID, since one basic rule to incorporate a new Word is that you wearing active at least 10 years before considering their inclusion.

John Simpson, Chief Editor of the OED, explained that this term has already permeated the population and hence its adoption.

On the other hand, the word 'tweet' was present in the dictionary since 1851 with another meaning, that of sound imitation of the singing of the birds. It has now expanded its meaning, by adding to the definition of "Act of making a publication on the social network Twitter service".

A curious question, however, is that the OED had already added the term 'retweet' in 2011, without knowing exactly why you picked up this concept first 'tweet'.
