Asia-Pacific will be placed over Europe in the enterprise storage market

According to a report by consulting firm IDC, in the next two years there will be a change in the enterprise storage market.

Data from IDC speak that market Asia-Pacific excluding Japan, will start ahead of Western Europe and only behind the United States, which will remain the undisputed leader.

Some emerging regions as Asia Pacific excluding Japan, Middle East, and Africa, "will continue to show very high growth rates, thanks to the increase in the demand for services of enterprise storage and the emergence of new infrastructures in growing economies".

In relation to the figures of the global expenditure in enterprise data storage markets, forecasts speak of a growing annual average of 4.1 per cent between 2012 and 2017, reaching assume 42,500 million euros last year.

Digital files, business documents storage and the importance of data protection, have been essential to that growth, as they reported at ITProPortal.

Also IDC indicates in its report that in 2017 the demand of the companies reach the 102 exabytes of storage and 36 exabytes of storage internal figures that involve a significant growth of 20 external exabytes and 8 inmates reached in 2012.
