Vodafone offers 7.7 billion euros the German Kabel Deutschland

Important movement in the European telecom landscape. The group Vodafone has made an offer of 7.7 billion euros to acquire the main German cable operator Kabel Deutschland.

British Telecom has confirmed the offer through a statement published on its website official.

The offer, 87 euros per share, is higher than expected and has been welcomed by the Board of the German operator, which has recommended acceptance of the offer to its shareholders. Bloomberg has recently estimated that the value of the German is 7,000 million euros.

Carry out the operation, absorption would entail the creation of an integrated communications giant with revenues exceeding 11,500 billion of euros.

The teleco stands out also for cost savings (a total of 300 million euro) that will result of the acquisition, since the existing synergies that have to operate in the country would be avoided.

Complete, Vodafone would significantly increase the burden on the country with a large customer base (32.4 million in mobile, 5 million in broadband services and 7.6 million TV customers).
